How to get involved

Have you got time to give...

On the night there will be crafting sessions at the Pavilion Theatre. We would really appreciate volunteers to help the children make their awesome lanterns.

We are also looking for marshalls to help guide the parade through the town.

If you are over 18 and can committ to volunteering your time on Thursday 5th November please contact our co-ordinator Luisa Fox by email at

Are you a local business?

Tide of Light only happens because it is supported by so many amazing local businesses. In order to fund the event without charging people the Tide of Light Team has to raise over £10,000 to pay for the infrastructure, staging, performers, installations and making sure the event is safe.

There are lots of opportunities for businesses to get involved and benefit from advertising to over 30,000 local people.

Our sponsors over the years have included Michael Jones, W Welch, The Wandering Goose, The Beach House, Cow Shed, Crab Shack and Harry Ramsdens.

If you would be interested in becoming a sponsor please get in touch at

Local Schools

We circulate Tide of Light information to all 22 local first and middle schools in Worthing and currently offer in class workshops at Springfield School. If you think your school would be interested in being part of Tide of Light.

In particular we are able to offer you

  • Lantern making workshops with resources

  • Lantern Kits to sell

  • Crafting Leaflets to hand out to your children

  • Storage of your Summer Parade structures to be used again on the 5th November
